Job Summary:
Richland R-IV School District is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Assistant High School Baseball Coach to lead our Junior Varsity and Varsity Baseball Teams. The ideal candidate will be committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field while fostering a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Head Coach in planning and conducting practices and games.

• Assist in developing game strategies and analyzing performance.

• Mentor student-athletes, promoting teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship.

• Help with player development, including strength and conditioning programs.

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members.

• Maintain equipment and assist with logistics for practices and games.

• Ensure compliance with Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) regulations and district policies.
• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff.
• Organize and oversee off-season conditioning and training programs.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience (preferably at the high school level or higher).
• Knowledge of baseball fundamentals, rules, and game strategy.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to mentor student-athletes and promote academic success.
• Must meet all MSHSAA coaching requirements, including CPR certification and background check.
