The Richland R-IV School District is seeking a qualified and compassionate K–12 Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an individual who is committed to meeting the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities and who believes in the potential of every child to succeed.
Responsibilities Include:

Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs

Providing direct instruction and support in academic, behavioral, and functional skills

Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and service providers
-
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation

Participating in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and data collection
-
Creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

Complying with all federal, state, and local special education laws and procedures
Qualifications:

Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education (K–12 or appropriate cross-categorical area)

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional practices

Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
