Special Education Paraprofessional

The Richland R-IV School District is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Education Paraprofessional for the 2025-2026 school year. This position plays a vital role in supporting the success and inclusion of students with special needs across educational settings.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional and behavioral support to students with IEPs under the direction of certified special education teachers

• Assist students with academic tasks, daily routines, social skills, and mobility as needed

• Support classroom accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology use

• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment

• Supervise students during transitions, lunch, recess, and transportation

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school and special education policies

Minimum Qualifications:

• 60 college credit hours or passing score on the Paraprofessional Praxis exam (or willingness to complete)

• Experience working with children with disabilities is preferred

• Patience, strong communication, and a team-oriented mindset are essential

• Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) and staff direction
