Position Summary

The Core Data / MOSIS / SIS Specialist is responsible for managing student and district data, overseeing MOSIS submissions, and maintaining the integrity of the district’s student information system. This individual will work closely with administrators, counselors, and office staff to ensure compliance with state reporting requirements.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience with student information systems (SIS) strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Missouri Core Data and MOSIS reporting preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

    Key Responsibilities
    • Coordinate and complete all Missouri Core Data and MOSIS submissions accurately and on time
    • Maintain and manage student data within the district’s Student Information System
    • Ensure compliance with DESE reporting requirements and deadlines
    • Collaborate with building secretaries, counselors, and administrators to verify data accuracy
    • Troubleshoot data discrepancies and system issues
    • Generate reports for district leadership and state reporting
    • Provide training and support to staff on SIS processes and procedures
    • Maintain documentation and procedures related to data entry and reporting
    • Responsible for all district enrollments and withdraws

      Preferred Qualifications
      • Previous experience in a school district office setting
      • Familiarity with state reporting systems and data validation processes
      • Experience with enrollment, and attendance system 11 month contract " />
