Job Summary:
Richland R-IV School District is seeking a responsible and motivated individual to serve as both the In-School Suspension (ISS) Supervisor and Virtual Instruction Proctor. This dual-role position requires maintaining a structured, disciplined learning environment for students assigned to ISS while also assisting students enrolled in virtual instructional courses. The ideal candidate will be organized, professional, and committed to supporting student success.
Key Responsibilities:
ISS Supervisor Duties:
- Monitor and supervise students assigned to ISS, ensuring a quiet and productive learning environment.
- Enforce school policies and behavioral expectations.
- Assist students with completing classwork provided by their teachers.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assignments, and behavior.
- Communicate with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and conduct.
Virtual Instruction Proctor Duties:
- Supervise students enrolled in online courses, ensuring they stay engaged and on task.
- Provide basic technical assistance and troubleshooting for virtual learning platforms.
- Ensure students complete required coursework and assessments on time.
- Communicate with virtual course instructors and school administration regarding student progress.
- Maintain a quiet and structured testing environment for virtual assessments.
Qualifications:
- Experience working with students in an educational setting (preferred).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage student behavior and enforce school policies.
- Basic technology skills, including familiarity with online learning platforms.
- Must pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in classroom management or supervision.
- Prior work with online education programs or student support services.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
