Job Summary
Richland R-IV School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Teacher (Grades 1-6) to join our team. This position will be departmentalized, meaning the teacher will specialize in a specific subject area (e.g., Math, Science, ELA, or Social Studies) while collaborating with a team of educators to provide high-quality instruction. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering student growth, using engaging teaching strategies, and working within a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging instruction in a designated subject area.
Collaborate with other teachers in a departmentalized setting to align curriculum and best practices.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Utilize formative and summative assessments to track student progress.
Create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
Incorporate technology and innovative teaching strategies into lessons.
Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior.
Adhere to district policies and state curriculum standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
in Education or a related field.
Valid Missouri Teaching Certification
for grades 1-6 (or eligibility to obtain).
Experience teaching in an elementary classroom (preferred).
Strong understanding of best practices for elementary instruction.
Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based teaching model.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a departmentalized elementary setting.
Knowledge of curriculum development and differentiated instruction.
