Richland R-IV School District is seeking a Head Softball Coach to lead our softball program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and building a competitive and positive team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Softball program.
• Develop and implement effective practice plans and game strategies.
• Provide instruction in fundamental skills, teamwork, and leadership development.
• Ensure the safety, well-being, and academic progress of student-athletes.
• Coordinate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, transportation, and facilities.
• Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and hard work.
• Communicate with players, parents, and school administration effectively.
• Adhere to Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) rules and guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience a plus).
• Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
• Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Must complete MSHSAA coaching requirements (or be willing to obtain them).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Missouri Teaching Certification
