The Richland R-IV School District is accepting applications for a passionate and student-focused Elementary School Counselor for the upcoming school year. We are seeking an individual committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all students through a comprehensive school counseling program.
Position:
Elementary School Counselor (Grades PK–6)
Responsibilities Include:

Implementing a comprehensive guidance and counseling program aligned with the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program

Supporting students' academic achievement, career awareness, and personal/social development

Providing individual and small group counseling as needed
-
Assisting students with conflict resolution, behavior management, and social skills
-
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
-
Participating in student support team meetings and IEP/504 processes as appropriate
-
Coordinating referrals to community services and mental health resources
-
Promoting a safe and positive school climate
Qualifications:
-
Valid Missouri School Counselor Certification (K–8 or K–12)

Master’s Degree in School Counseling or related field

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
-
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and the community

Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
