The Richland R-IV School District is seeking a qualified and compassionate K–12 Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year. Responsibilities Include:

• Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs

• Providing direct instruction and support in academic, behavioral, and functional skills

• Collaborating with general education teachers, parents, and service providers

• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation

• Participating in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and data collection

• Creating a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

• Complying with all federal, state, and local special education laws and procedures

Qualifications:

• Valid Missouri teaching certificate in Special Education (K–12 or appropriate cross-categorical area)

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s preferred)

• Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and evidence-based instructional practices

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
