Special Education Process Coordinator

The Richland R-IV School District is currently accepting applications for a Special Education Process Coordinator.
This position plays a vital role in supervising the special education process from referral through placement and the provision of services. The coordinator ensures appropriate identification and placement of students with disabilities and guarantees the district’s compliance with all state and federal special education requirements.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the entire special education process from initial referral to service delivery.

Ensure students are appropriately identified, evaluated, and placed.

Monitor and support compliance with IDEA and Missouri state regulations.

Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure quality programming for students with disabilities.

Provide support and guidance to teachers and staff regarding IEP development and implementation.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (required).

Valid Missouri teaching certificate in any area of Special Education (required).

Strong understanding of state and federal special education laws and procedures.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.
