Richland R-IV School District is seeking a Head Softball Coach to lead our softball program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing student-athletes, fostering teamwork, and building a competitive and positive team culture.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, and oversee all aspects of the Softball program.
Develop and implement effective practice plans and game strategies.
Provide instruction in fundamental skills, teamwork, and leadership development.
Ensure the safety, well-being, and academic progress of student-athletes.
Coordinate with the Athletic Director on scheduling, transportation, and facilities.
Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship and hard work.
Communicate with players, parents, and school administration effectively.
Adhere to Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) rules and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Prior coaching experience preferred (head coaching experience a plus).
Strong knowledge of softball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.
Ability to motivate and mentor student-athletes.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Must complete MSHSAA coaching requirements (or be willing to obtain them).
