Elementary School Counselor for the upcoming school year. We are seeking an individual committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of all students through a comprehensive school counseling program.
Position:Elementary School Counselor (Grades PK–6)
Responsibilities Include:
Implementing a comprehensive guidance and counseling program aligned with the Missouri Comprehensive Guidance Program
Supporting students' academic achievement, career awareness, and personal/social development
Providing individual and small group counseling as needed
Assisting students with conflict resolution, behavior management, and social skills
Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success
Participating in student support team meetings and IEP/504 processes as appropriate
Coordinating referrals to community services and mental health resources
Promoting a safe and positive school climate
Qualifications:
Valid Missouri School Counselor Certification (K–8 or K–12)
Master’s Degree in School Counseling or related field
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively with students, staff, families, and the community
Experience working with elementary-aged children preferred
